General Guidelines
The Publication Committee has adopted
the following guidelines regarding uniformity of material to be
published. The main objective of this guideline is to provide
general information to potential authors so that consistency in the
formats and structure of articles is maintained.
The committee expects original
articles, not under consideration for publication elsewhere. To be
acceptable for publication, a manuscript is expected to be of value
and interest to the development workers in general. It can be an
original review of past practices, fresh information about current
interests, or probing into new fields of development activities.
Priority will be given to thought-provoking study that contributes
to planning, analysis, design, construction, management, maintenance
and research in the field of development works. The manuscript
should contribute to advancing capability of development workers
including engineers in development profession. Authors are therefore
encouraged to draw upon best development practices. Theoretical
manuscripts should indicate areas of additional research required to
implement technology transfer related projects.
Submission and Acceptance of Manuscripts
Manuscripts will be accepted in English
language. An electronic version of the manuscript including
all-original figures and tables and a hard copy of the article
should be submitted to the Editorial Board before the deadline. Upon
receiving the article, the Editorial Board will review it before
making final decision for publication of the manuscript. If the
Board finds it necessary, the author will be requested to make
revisions accordingly before the decision is made. Authors are
requested to make sure that all-accompanying matters (tables,
figures, photographs, and contact details) are enclosed. Authors
should use simple straightforward language. Please remember that you
are writing for development practitioners.
